IRGC Deputy Commander Asserts Iran’s Resilience Amid Hostile Pressures

Tehran:The deputy commander-in-chief of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) has declared that external attempts to destabilize Iran through conflict, sanctions, and internal strife have failed to erode the determination of the Iranian populace.

According to Islamic Republic News Agency, Brigadier General Mostafa Izadi made these statements during a ceremony commemorating 4,000 martyrs in Golestan Province, located in northern Iran. He emphasized that the Islamic Revolution has successfully navigated economic restrictions and media campaigns due to its substantial popular support, which has enabled it to withstand numerous challenges.

Izadi outlined that adversaries aimed to dismember Iran, overthrow its political structure, dismantle its scientific and nuclear capabilities, and eliminate its missile power. Additionally, attempts were made to incite unrest and regress the nation, he noted. He characterized the recent conflict imposed on Iran as a significant historical clash between the forces of faith and light against the United States and the Israeli regime.

He further stated that issues related to nuclear advancements and human rights were used as justifications by Iran's adversaries to hinder the progress of the Islamic Revolution. Despite military and economic pressures, public resolve remains unshaken, with residents of Golestan Province exemplifying resistance against formidable foes.

The IRGC deputy commander also highlighted the ethnic and religious diversity of the province, pointing to the peaceful coexistence of Shias and Sunnis as a manifestation of unity. He noted that more than 600 Sunni martyrs and thousands of fallen residents demonstrate the province's solidarity.
