Tehran: The Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) has announced that its Aerospace Force has executed a series of missile and drone strikes targeting US military radar, air defense, and communications facilities located in Bahrain and Kuwait. The operation, named Operation Nasr-2, has reportedly led to the destruction of various strategic military assets.

According to Islamic Republic News Agency, the IRGC's actions come as a response to what it describes as US aggression against Iran. The strikes, which were part of the 24th wave of Operation Nasr-2 under the code name 'Ya Roghayeh (S),' were aimed at dismantling obstacles to future large-scale air and missile operations. The IRGC reported that a US radar in Muharraq, Bahrain, was rendered inoperative, and a US Patriot air defense system in Riffa was dismantled through coordinated missile and drone attacks.

The IRGC's Statement No. 36 detailed that in Kuwait, a long-range radar site, a telecommunications center, satellite reception systems, and a US missile defense radar were targeted and destroyed. Additionally, a hangar housing MQ-9 drones at Ali Al Salem Air Base was struck, resulting in significant damage to multiple drones.

In further developments, Statement No. 37 from the IRGC indicated ongoing operations at Ahmad Al Jaber Air Base in Kuwait. The IRGC reported the destruction of an early-warning radar, a missile-defense radar system, an FPS-117 radar, a Patriot air-defense system, and a satellite communications system essential for US air defense operations. The IRGC asserted that this "radar clearance" is a prelude to more decisive attacks planned against US targets.

The IRGC's military maneuvers follow statements made by US President Donald Trump, who asserted that Iran's military capabilities have been severely diminished. In retaliation to US air raids on Iran, which the IRGC has described as targeting civilian sites, Iran's Armed Forces have launched their own strategic attacks against American installations across the region.
