Amman: The Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) has claimed responsibility for a ballistic missile strike targeting a military camp housing US Marines in Jordan. This action was reportedly in retaliation to recent US military actions on Iranian territory.

According to Islamic Republic News Agency, the IRGC released a statement early Wednesday declaring that the missile strike was a direct response to a US attack on a wedding ceremony in Sirik. The attack in Sirik resulted in nearly 50 civilian casualties, either dead or wounded.

The IRGC's statement further detailed that the missile operation led to the destruction of several facilities and helicopters at Camp Titin, a US Marines base located on the Gulf of Aqaba. The strike reportedly inflicted significant casualties among American forces stationed there.
