IRGC Navy Conducts ‘Smart Control of the Strait of Hormuz’ Drills

Tehran: The Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) Navy has carried out a hybrid, live exercise known as 'Smart Control of the Strait of Hormuz.' The exercise took place on Monday under the supervision of IRGC Commander-in-Chief Major General Mohammad Pakpour.

According to Islamic Republic News Agency, the primary objectives of the exercise were to assess the operational readiness of IRGC Navy units, review logistical plans, and rehearse scenarios for reciprocal military action in response to potential security and military threats in the Strait of Hormuz region.

The exercise emphasized a rapid, decisive, and comprehensive response to maritime security threats, forming the core focus of the intelligence and operational components of the units deployed during the exercise.
