Bahrain: The Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) announced that its naval forces carried out a drone attack on the Bahrain-based Fifth Fleet early Wednesday. This move was declared as a retaliation against US military strikes on several locations in southern Iran.

According to Islamic Republic News Agency, the IRGC issued a statement indicating that the US military had targeted multiple sites in Iran's Jask, Sirik, and Qeshm regions during the early hours of Wednesday. The IRGC described these US actions as conducted 'under false pretexts.'

The IRGC's statement detailed that the US attacks resulted in damage to a telecommunications tower in Sirik and the destruction of two water reservoirs in the Bamani district. In response, the IRGC Navy launched drone attacks on the Fifth Fleet in Bahrain at approximately 2:30 a.m.

The IRGC further stated that confrontations were ongoing, with Iranian forces actively responding to what they termed 'enemy aggression.' The IRGC also issued a warning that if such aggressive acts continued, they would escalate their responses.

The IRGC concluded its statement with a Quranic verse, emphasizing that 'Victory comes only from Allah, the Almighty, the Wise.' This development followed an announcement from the US Central Command (CENTCOM) claiming that its strikes on Iran were in retaliation for what they alleged was Iran's downing of a US Army Apache helicopter, a claim that Iran has denied.
