Tehran: The Quds Headquarters of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) Ground Forces has announced the destruction of a terrorist team in Iran's southeastern Sistan and Baluchestan Province.
According to Islamic Republic News Agency, a statement released by the Quds Headquarters and carried by the IRGC's news outlet detailed that the terrorist team was identified and targeted in a joint operation involving the General Directorate of Intelligence, the IRGC Intelligence Unit in Sistan and Baluchestan, and the provincial police.
The operation resulted in the killing of two members of the team. The statement added that the team, which was affiliated with the US and Israel, had been plotting to carry out terrorist attacks against preselected targets. However, it was targeted before it could conduct any terrorist operation.
