Erbil:Sistan and Baluchestan The Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) has announced the successful thwarting of a terrorist plot against security forces within the southeastern province of Sistan and Baluchestan.

According to Islamic Republic News Agency, the IRGC Ground Force's Quds Headquarters released a statement detailing the interception of a terrorist cell. This cell, which had been previously identified and placed under intelligence surveillance, was ambushed before it could execute its planned operations.

The terrorist group intended to attack security force bases in the region and obstruct the road connecting Zarabad and Konarak counties. The operation resulted in the death of one terrorist and the arrest of several others. The remaining members of the group, who managed to flee the scene, are currently being pursued by the authorities.
