Minister of Water Resources and Irrigation Hani Sewilam discussed with UNICEF's representative in Egypt Jeremy Hopkins cooperation between the ministry and the organization in promoting societal awareness about water issues and the need of rationalizing and preserving water resources. During the meeting on Saturday 17/8/2024, the irrigation minister underscored the ministry's readiness to cooperate with UNICEF in launching awareness campaigns about water issues. He underlined the importance of the participation of UNICEF in the seventh edition of Cairo Water Week, slated for October. Hopkins emphasized the organization's utmost keenness on taking part in the Cairo Water Week every year, which is considered an important international event in the water aspect.
