The Minister of Islamic Affairs, Dawah, and Guidance, and General Supervisor of Local and International Quran Competitions, Sheikh Dr. Abdullatif bin Abdulaziz Al Alsheikh, emphasized that the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud Competition for Memorizing the Holy Quran and the Prophetic Sunnah in West African countries demonstrates the Kingdom's commitment to its legislative sources and its support for Muslims to memorize and implement them. Sheikh Dr. Al Alsheikh made this statement ahead of the competition's upcoming launch, organized by the Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Dawah, and Guidance in collaboration with the Ministry of Islamic Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Mauritania, with the participation of 16 West African countries. He highlighted that under the leadership of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and His Royal Highness Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Saudi Arabia has made significant advancements in various fields , particularly in serving Islam and Muslims, safeguarding the Quran and the Sunnah, and encouraging Muslim children to hold them in high regard. Dr. Al Alsheikh commended the strong cooperation between the Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Dawah, and Guidance and the Ministry of National Education, Technical Training, and Reform of Mauritania in hosting this international competition in West Africa. He emphasized that this reflects the historical relations and productive cooperation between the two countries in serving Islam and Muslims and promoting the values of moderation and tolerance derived from revelation.
