Tehran: Al-Qassam Brigades spokesperson Abu Obaida announced that contact has been lost with the team guarding U.S.-Israeli soldier Edan Alexander in Gaza. This development follows what is described as a 'direct Israeli bombardment' on their location. According to Islamic Republic News Agency, Abu Obaida accused Israel of deliberately targeting the site to avoid dealing with the pressures related to dual-citizenship prisoners. He condemned Israel for allegedly killing dual-nationality prisoners to perpetuate what he terms a genocidal war against the Palestinian people. Last week, Hamas released a video featuring Edan Alexander appealing to U.S. President Donald Trump to facilitate his release from Gaza. In the video, Alexander urged Trump to disregard 'lies' told by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
