Gaza city: The Israeli regime has approved a plan to occupy Gaza City, located in the northern Gaza Strip, to cover up war crimes and pave the way for the expulsion of Palestinians.

According to Islamic Republic News Agency, a Palestinian-American law student expressing his views in an article published by Qatar’s Al Jazeera website, this move is aimed at formalizing ‘what was always the endgame’ of the ongoing genocide in Gaza.

The author asserts that the occupation plan is part of a deliberate strategy that involves destruction, starvation, occupation, demands for demilitarization, and ultimately, full ethnic cleansing once Palestinians have no political power or capacity to resist. This sequence, he argues, is how the vision of a ‘Greater Israel’ is realized.

Ibsais, a first-generation Palestinian American, highlights the timing of the plan’s approval, which comes after 22 months of ‘systematic slaughter.’ He argues that the regime’s actions are designed to sanitize the crime scene before the international community can witness the aftermath in Gaza.

The article also claims that Israeli forces are targeting Palestinian journalists and obstructing foreign media to prevent the exposure of its alleged crimes. Ibsais warns that while Israel cannot indefinitely block foreign media access to Gaza, the regime is racing to erase evidence before aid convoys, relief workers, and journalists inevitably arrive.

He contends that once the world sees the reality in Gaza, it will be forced to acknowledge that the conflict was driven by the mass killing of Palestinians and the erasure of their history. Ibsais concludes by likening the occupation of Gaza City to a murderer returning to the crime scene to hide the body, and calls for international intervention to prevent further destruction of Palestinian life in Gaza.
