Shiraz: Israel reportedly launched strikes on the southern city of Shiraz, targeting military bases and resulting in the deaths of three high-ranking Iranian commanders.
According to France24.com, the strikes occurred even before the United States launched its own offensive against Iran. Israel’s Foreign Minister, Gideon Saar, stated that this unprecedented action was aimed at hindering Tehran’s alleged progress towards developing a nuclear weapon, claiming the offensive set back Iran’s nuclear ambitions by two years.
The targeted city, Shiraz, is known to host several military installations, making it a strategic point of interest in the ongoing regional tensions. The incident has added another layer of complexity to the already strained relations between Iran and Israel, as well as between Iran and the United States.
