Tel aviv: In a recent interview, Israel's Minister of Foreign Affairs, Gideon Saar, discussed the renewed hostilities between the United States and Iran, cautioning Tehran that any attack on Israel would provoke a "severe" counteraction. Saar also accused Iran of persistently pursuing "nuclear weapons aspirations," a goal Israel is determined to prevent.

According to France24.com, as tensions flare between the US and Iran, Saar emphasized that Israel would respond decisively to any Iranian aggression. He expressed hope that Iran would refrain from making the "mistake" of launching an attack on Israel, while clarifying that Israel currently has no intentions of joining the ongoing conflict. "If we will be attacked by Iran, we will surely respond heavily. But I'm not sure that Iran will do that mistake," Saar stated.

Addressing the escalating tensions in the West Bank, Saar defended Israel's settlement policies, asserting the nation's right to inhabit any part of its land. He dismissed European criticism regarding the E1 settlement expansion project, underscoring Israel's stance on the matter.

Saar further denounced any form of settler violence, insisting that there is "no justification for anyone to breach the law." He affirmed that Israel's law enforcement agencies are actively working to curb violence, although he noted that some incidents stem from Palestinian attacks on Israelis.
