Tehran: Head of National Iraqi Alliance Sayyid Ammar al-Hakim has praised Iran for its efforts in countering Israeli aggression, asserting that the 12-day conflict served as a pivotal moment for unity among Iranians and Muslims worldwide. Al-Hakim made these remarks during an official visit to Tehran, where he met with Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf.

According to Islamic Republic News Agency, al-Hakim highlighted Iran’s effective response to Israel, including the swift replacement of martyred commanders under the guidance of the Leader of the Islamic Revolution. He emphasized that this approach demonstrated Iran’s military strength and effectiveness on a global scale. Al-Hakim also noted that Israel’s attempts to marginalize Iran backfired, leading many countries to recognize the potential consequences of any harm to Iran, which he described as being on the “front line.”

Ghalibaf, in agreement with al-Hakim, discussed Iran’s decisive actions against foreign aggression, pointing out Israel’s fun
damental issues with Iran, which extend beyond opposition to the Islamic establishment. He warned that Israel aims to divide Iran to the extent that it ceases to exist. Ghalibaf stressed the importance of Iran and Iraq collaborating to foster cohesion among Islamic nations and identifying those sowing discord.

The discussions between al-Hakim and Ghalibaf also covered strengthening relations between Iran and Iraq, particularly in increasing bilateral trade. Both leaders advocated for involving private sectors to enhance trade volumes and suggested that economic relations should transcend bureaucratic constraints. Ghalibaf highlighted that strong ties in political, social, and cultural fields, as well as shared religious and regional interests, should extend to economic cooperation.

During his visit, al-Hakim engaged in discussions with several senior Iranian officials, including Ali Larijani, Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council, Ali Akbar Velayati, senior advisor to the Leader of the Islamic
Revolution, Judiciary Chief Gholamhossein Mohseni-Ejei, Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi, and President Masoud Pezeshkian.
