Judiciary Chief Warns Against Divisive Rhetoric, Stresses Need for National Unity

Tehran: Judiciary Chief Gholamhossein Mohseni-Ejei has called for efforts to strengthen national unity, saying words or actions that undermine national unity are ‘undesirable and reprehensible.’

According to Islamic Republic News Agency, Ejei emphasized the importance of avoiding divisive language, highlighting that sowing division is objectionable, while promoting unity is considered virtuous. Speaking at a meeting of the Judiciary’s High Council, he noted the heavy responsibility of those with a platform, including national media, in maintaining unity.

Ejei pointed to the recent U.S.-Israeli war of aggression as a moment that showcased the impact of the ‘wise and prudent leadership’ of Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei. He credited Khamenei’s guidance with thwarting and exposing enemy plots and noted that the Leader became a central figure for unity among the people during these events.

The judiciary chief highlighted that even those with grievances about the country’s conditions rallied around the Leader in the face of external threats. He stressed the importance of safeguarding the national unity that has been strengthened in recent days and warned against enemy attempts to sow discord using deceptive tools and methods.

Addressing concerns over a mutual cessation of attacks between Iran and Israel, Ejei cautioned against trusting the ‘cowardly and wicked Zionist’ and American enemy. He stated that while Iran will not initiate a war, it is prepared to defend itself against any imposed conflict, emphasizing that Iran will not accept an imposed war or peace.
