Tehran: Amin-Hossein Rahimi, Minister of Justice, has engaged in consultations with counterparts in more than 100 countries as part of a diplomatic campaign by his ministry to condemn the recent war of aggression by Israel and the United States against Iran.
According to Islamic Republic News Agency, Rahimi has sent letters to the justice ministers of over 100 countries, the secretary-general of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, and various legal and judicial officials since the 12-day conflict was halted on June 24. The initiative is part of a broader diplomatic effort to seek regional and global support in condemning the U.S.-Israeli aggression and to explore legal and judicial actions concerning the alleged crimes committed during the war.
The Iranian justice minister has also made phone calls to several counterparts, furthering the diplomatic campaign aimed at creating a unified regional and global response to the conflict. In his letters, Rahimi highlighted the explicit violations of international humanitarian law during the aggression, citing the failure to distinguish between military and civilian targets, deliberate attacks on civilians, and the assassination of nuclear scientists as examples of disregard for basic human rights and humanitarian law norms.
Rahimi underscored that ignoring these blatant and dangerous crimes could undermine the foundations of the global legal order. He urged his counterparts around the world to utilize their legal and judicial capacities to uphold justice and maintain international order.
