King Salman Global Academy for Arabic Language signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the King Faisal Center for Research and Islamic Studies to enhance cooperation and jointly benefit from experiences in the field of learning and teaching Arabic as second language. The two sides were represented at the signing by King Faisal Center Secretary General Princess Maha bint Mohamed bin Faisal and King Salman Global Academy Secretary General Dr. Abdullah bin Saleh Al-Washmi. The signing comes in line with the academy's mechanisms to achieve its main objectives, including its work to serve the Arabic language and maintain its integrity in speaking and writing. The academy also aims to focus on the eloquence of the Arabia language and its rules and origins. The academy's objectives include facilitating learning and teaching Arabic language inside and outside Saudi Arabia. The MoU includes seven areas of cooperation, including enhancing the Arabic language capabilities of native speakers and developing programs to achieve these objectives. It also includes issuing general and specialized dictionaries and collecting, preserving, and analyzing text and audio data. Cooperation areas include exchanging experiences and visits, and holding forums, seminars, and panel discussions in areas of mutual interest. Source: Saudi Press Agency
