The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center's Masam Project, focused on explosives clearance in Yemen, cleared 2,474 such devices across various regions of Yemen during the second week of September, including 2,439 unexploded ordnances, 28 anti-tank mines, six anti-personnel mines, and 1 improvised explosive device (IED). The Masam team successfully cleared 2,372 unexploded ordnances in Aden Governorate. In Hodeidah, they removed 3 unexploded ordnances, one anti-personnel mine, and one anti-tank mine in Hays district, along with one anti-tank mine in Al-Khokha district. In Lahij, the team cleared 14 unexploded ordnances in Al-Wahet district as well as three anti-tank mines and three unexploded ordnances in Al-Madaribah district. In Marib Governorate, the team cleared two anti-tank mines, one unexploded ordnance, and one IED in the Raghwan district. They also removed one unexploded ordnance in the Harib district, five unexploded ordnances in the Al-Madinah district, and 20 anti-tank mines in the Mar ib district. In Shabwah Governorate, the team removed two anti-personnel mines in the Ain district. In Taiz Governorate, the Masam team cleared 29 unexploded ordnances and one anti-tank mine in the Dhubab district, three anti-tank mines in the Mandab district, and 11 unexploded ordnances in Al-Makha district. Last week's work brings the total number of explosives removed by the Masam project to 460,951.
