Britain's Labour Party won the legislative elections on Friday and is set to form a new government. In a speech after announcing the results, party leader Keir Starmer said that this is an era of "national renewal", bringing an end to 14 years of Conservative Party rule. Earlier today, the British electoral committee confirmed the party's win of 410 seats out of 650. The conservatives received 120 seats and the democrats got 71. This means the Labour Party will have 210 extra seats in the House of Commons, while the conservatives will lose 249 seats, the democrats went up to 63 seats and the Scottish National Party lost 38 seats.
