Tehran: Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Mojtaba Hosseini Khamenei has emphasized that maintaining and improving Iran's status as a major and influential power is directly linked to population growth. Ayatollah Khamenei conveyed this message in response to a letter from activists focused on population growth, and it was released on Iran's National Population Day.

According to Islamic Republic News Agency, the Leader highlighted that one of the significant achievements of the third Sacred Defense and the awakening of the nation is the emergence of Iran as a powerful and influential country. He stressed that sustaining and enhancing this position is directly connected to the country's population growth.

Ayatollah Khamenei addressed the importance of population growth and its relationship with the strength and civilization of the Islamic Republic of Iran. He emphasized the increasing efforts of grassroots activists in promoting population growth and encouraging a culture of childbearing.

He stated, "If the Iranian nation seriously follows the correct policy of increasing the population, it will be able to experience great roles and strategic leaps in the future." He added that this approach would assist Iran in taking significant steps toward building a new Islamic civilization.
