Tehran: The Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, has articulated that martyrdom serves as the reward for those who struggle in the path of Allah. He emphasized that nations advance and find glory through such endeavors and sacrifices.

According to Islamic Republic News Agency, Ayatollah Khamenei conveyed these thoughts in a message dedicated to Sacred Defense Week, which begins on September 22. This week commemorates the eight-year Iraqi invasion of Iran. In his message, Ayatollah Khamenei highlighted that this year’s Sacred Defense Week holds special significance due to the martyrdom of several prominent figures involved in the Islamic resistance, along with courageous young individuals in various regions.

Ayatollah Khamenei elaborated that martyrdom is the reward for striving in the path of God, not only during the eight-year defense but also in the twelve-day resistance against the Israeli and US regimes’ war imposed on Iran, as well as in Lebanon, Gaza, and Palestine.

He underscored the importance of maintaining faith in God’s promise concerning the triumph of righteousness and the downfall of evil. Ayatollah Khamenei stressed the necessity of remaining committed to the duty of supporting God’s religion.
