Tehran: Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Mojtaba Hosseini Khamenei has called on Iran's judicial system to actively pursue accountability for crimes committed against the Iranian nation, particularly those resulting from recent US-Israeli conflicts.

According to Islamic Republic News Agency, Ayatollah Khamenei's message was delivered on Sunday, coinciding with the martyrdom anniversary of Ayatollah Mohammad Beheshti and his companions, a day designated as Judiciary Week. He highlighted the pressing need for legal and judicial attention towards restoring the rights of Iranians that have been violated by what he termed 'international criminals and arrogant and aggressive powers.'

Drawing upon the resilience of Imam Hossein (AS) and his followers, Ayatollah Khamenei referenced their historic opposition to oppression and tyranny, suggesting that their actions from 1,400 years ago continue to provide significant lessons for freedom-seekers around the world.

He stressed that the judiciary plays a crucial role in safeguarding public rights and legitimate freedoms, combating corruption, enforcing divine law, upholding justice, and ensuring comprehensive oversight of these principles.

The Leader highlighted the physical, material, and psychological damages incurred during American and Zionist attacks, citing incidents such as war crimes in Minab and Lamerd, assaults on medical and service facilities, and even the killing of newborns. He called for these issues, alongside the martyrdom of Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, to be seriously pursued in both domestic and international courts.

Ayatollah Mojtaba Khamenei pointed out that public admissions and statements by US officials regarding these aggressive acts should serve as evidence in legal proceedings, aiding efforts to restore violated rights and hold perpetrators accountable.

He asserted that achieving success in these areas would enhance public trust in the system, emphasizing that justice should be implemented to such an extent that every oppressed individual views the Judiciary as a safe haven.

The Leader also highlighted the judiciary's unique position in influencing other sectors, advocating for internal reforms. He stressed that comprehensive judicial transformation requires sincerity, piety, determination, courage, innovation, the effective use of modern technologies, and smart governance.
