The Madinah Chamber of Commerce and Industry will host the discussion sessions over the course of 10 days. The sessions will address solutions to challenges related to palm pests and their integrated management. They will also explore the future of artificial intelligence in smart agriculture, methods for detecting plant diseases, and ways to harness technology to improve date cultivation and production efficiency. The workshops will cover control practices for the red palm weevil pest and review the stages of date production, from planting to harvest, as well as storage and packaging techniques to maintain quality. Additionally, dates will be discussed as a balanced source of nutrition, along with the financing products offer ed by institutions such as the Social Development Bank, including social financing and financing for self-employment.
