The Saudi Ports Authority (Mawani) has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Hamburg Port Authority and Hamburg Port Consulting at the International Association of Ports and Harbors' (IAPH) World Ports Conference in Hamburg, Germany. This partnership is geared towards boosting capacity and operational efficiency within Saudi ports, with specific focus on digital transformation, automation, human capital development, environmental sustainability, and promoting sustainability in the maritime sector. The MoU aims to establish a common vision to tackle key challenges in modern port operations, encompassing the development of logistical solutions, enhancing maritime transport infrastructure, and improving overall port efficiency.
