Tehran:The Foreign Ministry has highlighted the importance of increasing exports of citrus products from Mazandaran province to neighboring countries, aiming to harness the area's production and export potential.
According to Islamic Republic News Agency, the eighth meeting of the Foreign Economic Relations Coordination Headquarters was held by the Foreign Ministry on Tuesday. Economic deputies from various government bodies, officials, and representatives of the Mazandaran Chamber of Commerce and private-sector businesses participated in the meeting.
The discussions centered on strategies to enhance citrus exports from Mazandaran, addressing key challenges, current capacities, and ways to expand shipments to nearby markets. Twelve Iranian diplomatic missions abroad also participated via videoconference, with representatives identifying potential import markets for Iranian citrus and underscoring the need to overcome obstacles faced by exporters.
Hamid Ghanbari, the deputy foreign minister for economic diplomacy, stressed the importance of collaboration among government agencies, provincial authorities, and private-sector participants to create favorable conditions for citrus exports.
