The Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development is taking significant steps to improve the domestic labor recruitment sector through the Musaned platform, established in 2016. The platform aims to simplify and document the recruitment process, and protect the rights of employers and domestic workers. It has become one of the leading national initiatives in Saudi Arabia. In the first half of 2024, the Musaned platform achieved several significant milestones. It facilitated reaching a staggering 412,399 domestic labor recruitment contracts and expanded the list of countries available for recruitment to 33, including new additions like Gambia, Burundi, Sierra Leone, and Tanzania. The platform introduced the "transfer labor services" feature, from which 61,358 employers benefited, and unveiled a unified electronic contract to safeguard the rights of domestic workers and employers; it registered over 907 approved recruitment offices throughout the Kingdom, in addition to 8,286 active external offices. Notably, the average duration for the arrival of domestic workers has been reduced by an impressive 11%, to the relief of all parties involved. 583,691 CVs for domestic workers have been uploaded via the Musaned platform, and the beneficiary satisfaction rate is a reassuring 92%. The ministry introduced new services and improvements to Musaned in the first half of 2024, including new channels for the transfer of domestic worker salaries, launched the "Domestic Worker Contract Insurance" for new workers, and created a unified channel for submitting complaints. Furthermore, the platform improved the evaluation system of recruitment offices, and reduced the ceiling of recruitment prices for countries with high recruitment rates. It also launched a health insurance service for new domestic workers, exempting humanitarian cases from fees.
