The Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources has showcased its experience in digital transformation and facilitating electronic access to its services for partners and all beneficiaries. The ministry highlighted its efforts in adopting the technologies of the fourth industrial revolution in the industrial sector during the participation of the ministry's Digital Transformation Agency General Supervisor Mohammad Al-Shuwaier, in a dialogue session titled "Digital Transformation and Its Impact on the Industrial and Mining Sectors in the Kingdom." The Digital Government Authority organized the session under the "Saudi Arabia Digital Day" slogan at King Khalid University in Abha. The session addressed the significant gains that the Kingdom will achieve by adopting fourth industrial revolution applications and automating industrial facilities. Among the most important of these gains is transforming the Kingdom into a leading industrial power through fostering innovation, leveraging advanced technologies, and building a competitive and sustainable industrial economy that relies on the latest innovative manufacturing technologies. The ministry emphasized that the technologies of the fourth industrial revolution will develop the value chains of mineral resources to enhance the mining sector and achieve the Kingdom's Vision 2030 goals, making it the third pillar of Saudi industry. This initiative aims to increase the Kingdom's contribution to gross domestic product (GDP) and make it a center for attracting high-quality investments in the industry and mining sectors, thus enhancing its position as a global center for advanced industries. The ministry indicated its keenness to serve industrial-sector investors and facilitate their journey from project conception and feasibility studies to exporting their products through advanced digital services.
