The Ministry of Interior announced, this evening, Saturday, the arrest of 9 drug dealers in Maysan Governorate. The spokesman for the Interior Ministry and the Security Media Cell, Brigadier General Miqdad Miri, said in a statement: 'In a security operation carried out according to accurate intelligence information, the General Directorate of Narcotics and Psychotropic Substances Affairs arrested (9) accused drug traffickers and seized (2 and a half kilograms) of Crystal narcotic drugs, two pistols, and drug paraphernalia.' He added, "The arrest operation took place in Maysan Governorate and under the supervision of the Maysan Narcotics Director. The investigative papers related to the accused were presented to the investigating judge, and he decided to arrest them in accordance with Article 28 of the Anti-Narcotics Law and to send the materials seized in their possession to the competent authority.
