Tehran: First Vice President Mohammad-Reza Aref emphasized the significance of cultural heritage as a foundation of national identity and a bulwark against Iranophobia. Aref addressed a ceremony commemorating Iranian perpetual figures in cultural heritage, highlighting the attempts by adversaries to depict Iran as a dependent nation devoid of identity. He pointed out that Iran's rich history and culture are undeniable truths.

According to Islamic Republic News Agency, Aref praised Iran's civilization and ethnic diversity. He discussed how scientific diplomacy is a product of the Islamic Republic's perspective on science and technology. Aref elaborated on the potential of cultural diplomacy to foster global unity and counteract Iranophobia. He stressed the importance of leveraging cultural heritage and diplomacy to enhance international relations.

Aref addressed the challenges threatening cultural heritage, such as financial constraints, uneven urban development, and natural erosion. He advocated for scientific approaches, innovation, and precise documentation to address these issues. Aref underscored the need for sustainable financial resources, NGO support, and coordination among cultural bodies to achieve sustainable development in cultural heritage.

He also called for enhanced coordination among government bodies to preserve cultural heritage. Referring to the 12-day conflict with Israel, Aref remarked on the intentions of the US and its allies to subjugate Iran, emphasizing the robust response given by the Iranian nation and its Armed Forces.
