OIC to Reapprove Resolution on US-Israeli Conflict With Iran

Baghdad:The Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) is preparing to reapprove a resolution initially adopted after last year's 12-day US-Israeli conflict with Iran, as announced by Deputy Foreign Minister Kazem Gharibabadi.

According to Islamic Republic News Agency, Gharibabadi addressed reporters during the 52nd OIC Council of Foreign Ministers meeting. He mentioned that various documents and resolutions would be confirmed at the session, with the conclusions compiled in the 'Baghdad Report.'

The resolutions to be reapproved include those from expert-level meetings and emergency sessions, specifically the one related to the 12-day conflict. Additionally, topics like Palestine and reports from the OIC secretary-general are included in the agenda.

Gharibabadi also commented on ongoing regional diplomacy, noting that communications with foreign ministers from neighboring countries remain robust despite tensions following US-Israeli actions. Although a meeting in Oman to discuss strategic matters, including the Strait of Hormuz, was canceled, regional dialogues are continuing through alternative channels.
