New york: Oil prices rose and stocks fell as another exchange of blows between the US and Iran took place.
According to Deutsche Welle, the price of Brent crude, the international standard, rose to $90.91 (£77.48) per barrel, while the S and P 500 index experienced a decline of 0.4%. The Nasdaq also saw a decrease, falling by 0.3%.
The stock market losses were felt across all sectors, with energy stocks largely being the exception. Notably, Exxon Mobil's stocks climbed by 2.9%, and Chevron's stocks saw a rise of 3%.
