Tehran: Iran's Ambassador to Russia, Kazem Jalali, has announced that over 20 journalists from various Russian media outlets have traveled to Tehran to cover the farewell and funeral ceremonies for the martyred Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei.

According to Islamic Republic News Agency, Jalali stated that the significant presence of Russian journalists at the farewell ceremony for the martyred leader reflects the strategic importance of this event in regional and international equations. He highlighted that the attendance of numerous journalists from prominent Russian networks, news agencies, and newspapers represents one of the most extensive Russian-language media coverages of an official event in the Islamic Republic of Iran.

Jalali discussed media cooperation between the two countries, emphasizing the importance of providing accurate, direct accounts of each other's developments while also combating Western misinformation about independent nations. The ambassador noted that the presence of Russian journalists and media professionals underscores Moscow's strong commitment to presenting this event to global audiences accurately, comprehensively, and impartially.

Additionally, Jalali mentioned that the visit of official and governmental delegations from Russia, along with extensive media coverage in Russia and other Russian-speaking countries, will play a crucial role in strengthening the bonds between the two countries.
