Mashhad: Over 200 foreign journalists have confirmed their participation in covering the funeral ceremonies for the martyred Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, in Mashhad. The spokesperson for the funeral committee disclosed the international attention the event has garnered.

According to Islamic Republic News Agency, Mehdi Shad announced on Tuesday that arrangements for the participation of these journalists have been successfully completed. Shad detailed that preparations concerning positioning, accommodation, issuance of permits, and access have been finalized to ensure comprehensive coverage of the event.

The funeral procession for Ayatollah Khamenei began in Tehran on Monday. Following its journey through the capital, the procession continued to significant religious sites including Qom, Najaf, Karbala, and finally Mashhad. In Mashhad, the martyred Leader will be laid to rest at the shrine of Imam Reza.
