Jerusalem: More than 50,000 settlers have submitted compensation claims for damage caused by Iran’s attacks on Israeli-occupied territories in response to the regime’s aggression last month.
According to Islamic Republic News Agency, an Israeli daily business and economics newspaper, over 50,000 compensation claims have so far been registered following the end of the conflict between Iran and Israel on June 24. The conflict concluded with a ceasefire after 12 days, during which the Iranian Armed Forces launched drone and ballistic missile strikes on targets inside Israeli-occupied territories. These attacks were in retaliation for the regime’s strikes on residential areas and nuclear facilities.
The Iranian attacks resulted in extensive damage to strategic military infrastructure, as well as to personal and commercial properties in the affected areas. Iranian officials have stated that these strikes were conducted under Article 51 of the U.N. Charter, claiming it was an act of defense to maintain national sovereignty and territorial integrity.
