Islamabad: Pakistan's ambassador to Iran, Muhammad Mudassir Tipu, has highlighted the importance of enhancing relations between Pakistan and Iran, focusing on mutual cooperation to address regional challenges. Tipu emphasized this agenda in an exclusive interview with an IRNA correspondent in Islamabad, discussing the significance of the upcoming visit of Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi to Pakistan. According to Islamic Republic News Agency, Pakistan's Foreign Ministry has announced that Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi will visit Islamabad for two days, commencing on Monday. The visit aims to foster bilateral relations and engage in discussions on regional developments. The Pakistani government sees this visit as a pivotal moment in the longstanding relationship between the two neighboring Muslim countries. During the interview, Tipu underscored the commitment of both nations' leaders to enhance economic and trade cooperation and develop border regions. He also noted the shared endeavors of Tehran and Islamabad to combat terrorism in the region, stressing that both countries hold aligned positions on Middle Eastern conflicts, particularly concerning Israel's actions. Tipu conveyed Pakistan's condemnation of recent aggressions by the Zionist regime against Iran and the terrorist incident in Sistan and Baluchestan Province. He assured that Pakistan stands with Iran in this sensitive time, highlighting Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif's clear support for the Iranian government and its people. Furthermore, Tipu addressed the activities of terrorist groups aiming to destabilize the region, attributing them to foreign entities. While Tehran and Islamabad might have different strategies to counter these threats, they share similar positions and take reciprocal measures to address them.
