Karachi: A large solidarity gathering has been held in Karachi, Pakistan, expressing support for Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei and Iran, while condemning US and Israeli actions. Heads of Shia groups, alongside some Sunni, Christian, and Hindu figures, participated in the event.
According to Islamic Republic News Agency, the gathering strongly condemned the recent terrorist attack on a Shia mosque in Islamabad, as well as the alleged collusion of Takfiri elements with the US and Israel, which they claim harms global unity. Prominent figures from the Majlis Wahdat-e-Muslimeen, Shia Ulema Council, Imamia Students Organization Pakistan (ISO), and some Sunni groups called for unity and the strengthening of the Islamic front against what they described as the conspiracies of the US and Israel.
The participants also voiced their support for the people of Gaza and the Palestinian struggle against Israeli occupation, symbolically setting fire to US and Israeli flags. During the event, they met with Akbar Isazadeh, Iran's Consul General in Karachi, and presented him with a petition signed by hundreds of participants from the Karachi rally.
