The Palestinian Ministry of Education has documented the martyrdom of 10,888 students since the beginning of the Israeli occupation's aggression on the Gaza Strip. The ministry added that 17,224 others have been injured, some critically, leading to cases of limb amputations. The ministry also reported that 592 teachers were martyred during the aggression, with 3,686 others wounded. The ministry stressed that 362 government schools and universities were subjected to bombings, along with 65 schools affiliated with the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) that were also bombed and destroyed. It also noted that 62 government schools were utterly destroyed. Also, five major universities in Gaza were damaged through bombings and airstrikes.
