Geneva: Parliament Speaker Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf and the Chairwoman of the Federation Council of the Russian Federation Valentina Matviyenko met in Geneva to emphasize enhancing bilateral ties, particularly in economic, security, military, political, and social sectors. The meeting took place during the Sixth World Parliament Speakers’ Conference at the United Nations Headquarters.

According to Islamic Republic News Agency, Qalibaf highlighted recent events in Gaza and criticized the Zionist regime’s attack on Iran, describing it as a violation of international law. He stated that the aggressive actions of the Zionist regime and the United States have altered regional equations and international conditions. The attack, which occurred two days before the sixth round of nuclear negotiations, resulted in the loss of Iranian commanders, scientists, and civilians.

Qalibaf condemned the targeting of Iran’s nuclear facilities by the United States and the Zionist regime, asserting that such actions violated international law. He expressed appreciation for Russian President Vladimir Putin’s stance and the support from the Russian Duma, which condemned the aggressive actions against Iran.
