The General Authority for the Care of the Affairs of the Two Holy Mosques has allocated in the Grand Mosque six prayer areas for people with disabilities, to ensure that they can perform their rituals comfortably. These areas have tayammum pads (dry ritual purification), white canes for the blind, copies of the holy Quran equipped with reader pens for the elderly, and sign language interpreters qualified to translate sermons and religious lessons.
