Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources Karim Badawi, stressed that Egypt has a sincere desire to create an attractive investment climate in all fields and to benefit from expertise in achieving sustainable development goals, and in cooperation with partners, increasing Egypt's production of natural gas and crude oil is a top priority for the next stage. The foreign sector will support the acceleration of development of new discoveries and intensify search and exploration operations to add to Egypt's balance of reserves. This came during his meeting with Greg McDaniel, President of Apache Egypt, and the accompanying delegation, where the company's activities in the Western Sahara in Egypt and its plans during the coming period to increase production of natural gas were discussed. Badawi added that Apache is one of the largest producers of crude oil in Egypt and has contributed to achieving great successes through its partnership with the Egyptian petroleum sector, which extends for many years. Addition ally, he stressed Apache's commitment to its operations in Egypt in all circumstances and challenges and the importance of exchanging experiences between the petroleum sector and the international company to achieve common goals. The focus areas for these goals include research and exploration, energy efficiency, emissions reduction, carbon removal, occupational safety and health, human cadre training and the provision of advanced technologies that Apache possesses.
