Moscow: Iran's Ambassador to Moscow, Kazem Jalali, asserts that the 14th administration successfully transformed a challenging scenario into a favorable one by fostering friendships with regional countries and enhancing the mutual understanding of the need to unite against the common threat posed by the Israeli regime.
According to Islamic Republic News Agency, in an interview in Moscow marking the Administration Week (August 24-30), Jalali commended the efforts of the Masoud Pezeshkian administration, highlighting that its engagement was not confined to the region but extended to active diplomacy on a global scale. He emphasized that the administration's strategy involved strengthening interactions with regional countries and engaging in dialogue with senior officials from neighboring nations, including those in the Persian Gulf region, Turkey, Pakistan, as well as discussions with Egypt and Jordan.
In response to inquiries about the most significant foreign policy achievement of the Pezeshkian administration, the ambassador highlighted the completion of Iran's membership process in BRICS as a key achievement. He noted that the 14th administration is determined to harness the extensive opportunities offered by this important bloc across political, security, economic, financial, and banking domains. Jalali stated that this development would bolster Iran's regional and international standing while enhancing its connections with emerging actors, with the impact of these achievements expected to be lasting and continuous.
Jalali further pointed out that the Pezeshkian administration is actively working to prevent the formation of a comprehensive anti-Iranian coalition by fostering closer ties with Arab countries in the southern Persian Gulf, independent countries, and the Global South. He reiterated that increasing convergence, particularly in the Persian Gulf region, enhances the political and security roles of regional countries and mitigates the influence of external actors.
