Tehran: President Masoud Pezeshkian expressed his appreciation to Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif for attending the farewell and official funeral ceremonies of the martyred Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution. Pezeshkian emphasized the enduring solidarity and brotherhood between the nations of Iran and Pakistan, highlighting their shared experiences of joy and sorrow.

According to Islamic Republic News Agency, in a message posted on his X account, President Pezeshkian specifically addressed the Prime Minister of Pakistan, thanking him for his presence at the important events marking the farewell to the martyred Supreme Leader. Pezeshkian also acknowledged the high-ranking Pakistani delegation and the expressions of sympathy from both the government and people of Pakistan.

President Pezeshkian conveyed his gratitude, stating, "We will never forget this solidarity and support."
