Tehran: President Masoud Pezeshkian emphasized that sportsmanship and showcasing Iran’s Islamic-Iranian culture would enhance the value of medals won by the country’s athletes at the upcoming Islamic Solidarity Games in Riyadh.

According to Islamic Republic News Agency, President Pezeshkian conveyed his message to Iran’s sports delegation on Monday, expressing his wishes for their success and encouraging them to represent the nation with dignity. He acknowledged that while winning medals at the Asian Youth Games in Bahrain and the Islamic Solidarity Games in Riyadh is commendable, the true value lies in demonstrating sportsmanship and embodying Iranian-Islamic culture during the competition.

Pezeshkian extended his gratitude to the families of athletes, coaches, technical staff, and sports officials for their dedication and efforts. He expressed confidence that the team’s involvement would contribute significantly to the record of Iranian sporting achievements, creating another ‘golden page’ in the nation’s history.
