Tehran: President Masoud Pezeshkian returned to Tehran on Sunday night after a three-day visit to India, where he attended and addressed the BRICS Leaders' Summit, IRNA reported.

According to Islamic Republic News Agency, during his trip to New Delhi, Pezeshkian took part in three BRICS leaders' meetings and held talks with the presidents of India and South Africa, the prime ministers of Malaysia, India, and Ethiopia, and the crown prince of Abu Dhabi.

The discussions focused on expanding bilateral relations and regional and international cooperation. The Iranian president also met with religious leaders, academics, and businesspeople in India, where he highlighted the two countries' shared and significant capacities.

He attended a commemorative tree-planting ceremony alongside BRICS leaders and gave an interview to India Today, in which he outlined Iran's positions and views on various issues.
