Popular Mobilization Forces dismantled 3 explosive devices in the areas adjacent to the Khanaqin-Saadiya road. A statement by the Popular Mobilization Authority stated: "A force from the 23rd Brigade of the Popular Mobilization Forces was able to dismantle three explosive devices in the area adjacent to the Khanaqin-Saadiya road in Diyala Governorate. The operation also included searching the areas adjacent to the road and securing them to prevent terrorist violations." It explained that the security operation comes in order to secure the road of the visitors of Arbaeen of Imam Hussein (peace be upon him) coming from outside the country.
