Tehran: President Masoud Pezeshkian will travel to Kyrgyzstan on Monday, his office's Public Relations says. Pezeshkian will participate in a two-day Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) summit in Bishkek, the capital of Kyrgyzstan.
According to Islamic Republic News Agency, Habibollah Abbasi, head of the presidential Public Relations, stated that Pezeshkian will deliver a speech at the SCO summit and engage in bilateral meetings with leaders and senior officials from SCO member and partner countries. This engagement is expected to enhance diplomatic relations and cooperation among the participating nations.
Pezeshkian is also set to attend the official opening ceremony of the sixth World Nomad Games, which are scheduled to take place from August 31 to September 6, 2026, in Kyrgyzstan. This event will serve as a platform for cultural exchange and showcasing traditional sports.
The SCO Secretariat has announced that the 26th Summit of the Heads of State of the SCO will be held in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan, on September 1. This summit represents a crucial forum for discussing regional security, economic collaboration, and mutual interests among the member states.
