Tehran: Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian called for preserving national unity and avoiding divisive rhetoric during a Cabinet meeting on Wednesday, saying stronger coordination among government institutions was essential to improving public services and addressing citizens' demands.

According to Islamic Republic News Agency, the president stressed the necessity of synergy and coordination among all executive bodies, and said internal cohesion within the government is a prerequisite for elevating the quality of public services. He described public demands as legitimate and said protecting social capital and maintaining national cohesion were shared responsibilities.

Pezeshkian also urged officials to avoid divisive statements, saying national unity was the country's most important asset in overcoming challenges and countering the objectives of its enemies. The President further stated that expanding achievements, continuing effective service delivery, and improving the quality of services for various segments of society are the main pillars of strengthening national authority. He emphasized the responsibility of all ministers and executive managers to maintain the quality and continuity of public services.

Later in the meeting, the minister of cultural heritage, tourism and handicrafts told the Cabinet that the farewell and funeral rites of the martyred Leader had been added to Iran's national list of intangible cultural heritage. The minister said the rites, which were registered on June 30, 2026, under registration number 3365, reflected Iran's traditions of mourning and social solidarity.
