Moscow:Russian President Vladimir Putin highlighted the key contributions of the martyred Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, in the establishment of the Gas Exporting Countries Forum (GECF) during the 8th GECF Summit.

According to Islamic Republic News Agency, Putin's comments came as he supported remarks by Iranian counterpart Masoud Pezeshkian, emphasizing the importance of GECF member states working together to counteract unilateral sanctions.

The summit, held in Moscow, served as a platform for leaders to discuss collaborative strategies among member states in response to international sanctions affecting their economies.
