Tehran: Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf has stated that the Islamic Republic's steadfastness in recent conflicts resulted in significant political and military setbacks for the United States and Israel. Ghalibaf shared these insights during a meeting with Bangladeshi National Parliament Speaker Hafiz Uddin Ahmad, who was in Tehran for the funeral ceremonies of the late Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei.

According to Islamic Republic News Agency, Ghalibaf emphasized that Iran has always refrained from initiating wars, even engaging in indirect negotiations with the US during times of conflict. He criticized the United States and the Israeli regime for undermining diplomatic efforts by attacking Iran amidst ongoing negotiations. As Iran's chief negotiator in talks with the US, Ghalibaf highlighted the strategic response of Iranian armed forces, which he claims delivered a decisive blow to the aggressors' perception of invincibility through effective battlefield management and asymmetric warfare.

Ghalibaf reiterated Iran's commitment to peace while asserting its readiness to defend against any aggression. He called for unity among Muslim nations to oppose US dominance and unilateral actions. He expressed confidence that the sacrifices of Ayatollah Khamenei and other martyrs would ultimately lead to the liberation of the Holy Quds and a future dominated by the resistance front.

Bangladeshi Speaker Ahmad expressed condolences over the loss of Ayatollah Khamenei, highlighting the impact on the broader Muslim community. He commended Iran's diplomatic efforts and expressed hope for lasting peace in the region. Ahmad also expressed a desire to strengthen the historical ties between Iran and Bangladesh, seeking to enhance cooperation across parliamentary, political, economic, and cultural domains.
