Tehran: Parliament Speaker Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf on Tuesday called on the public to take part in nationwide rallies marking the 47th anniversary of the 1979 Islamic Revolution. Qalibaf emphasized the importance of public participation in these demonstrations as a show of support for the Islamic Revolution, particularly in the face of increased external pressures.

According to Islamic Republic News Agency, Qalibaf highlighted the ongoing efforts of external enemies who he claimed are attempting to disintegrate Iran. He praised the Iranian nation's consistent readiness to defend the country and the Islamic Republic, urging citizens to demonstrate their unity by attending the rallies on February 11.

Qalibaf further stated that the Islamic Republic has maintained its independence through public support and cooperation. He described the anniversary as a symbol of national pride, underscoring the significance of public participation in preserving the nation's achievements.
